My newfound outlet

One month ago, I took my mum for lunch and a massage as a pre-booked birthday present.

However, I think that I benefitted personally in a big way because of this.

During my stressful time at school, and due to the fact that my social life is almost nonexistent, I had no way to relax and enjoy myself in free time. Not including my constant flow of books, and my new found accessible Uno app that drives everyone mad with its monotone, synthetic voice.

I realised that a massage is amazingly effective on the way I feel, mentally and physically. I was able to squish my constantly omnipresent myriad of thoughts in to storage, and then relax with a free and relievingly empty mind. I always manage to have a much more dreamless night’s sleep, unlike my normally confusing jumble of nonsensical dreams.

Since then, I have been twice. Today was included. My masseuse, Katie, did an amazing job at relaxing me with a beautiful concoction of citrus fragrances.

I feel so glad that I have a new strategy to help me relax in the best possible way. Everyone deserves a bit of time to kick back, and I’ve learnt how to truly embrace mine.
